Winter of 1913— Snow & Silver Thaw
Winter of 1913— Snow & Silver Thaw
“The winter of 1913 was memorable.
Snow came so fast and heavy. It was followed by silver thaw caused trees to fall across the road.
Fathers came with horses and sleighs to collect their children from school. One family had to go three miles out of their way to get home because trees blocked the road. It took us many extra miles to get home.” Esther Stucki
